You open a post, go back to the list, check the media library, then go back again. With OpenStation, those screens stay open side by side, so you don\u2019t lose your place.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What you get<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A window for every admin page: posts, media, settings, plugins<\/li>\n<li>A dock with your whole admin menu, including your other plugins<\/li>\n<li>Several desktops, for example one for writing and one for site settings<\/li>\n<li>Wallpapers, widgets and accent colors<\/li>\n<li>Cmd+K to jump anywhere fast<\/li>\n<li>Your windows are still open when you come back<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Try it in your browser<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/desktop-mode\/\">OpenStation page on WordPress.org<\/a> and click <strong>Live Preview<\/strong>. It runs a full WordPress site with OpenStation in your browser tab, so you can\u2019t break anything.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Install it on your site<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In your admin, go to Plugins \u2192 Add New and search for \u201cOpenStation\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Click Install Now, then Activate<\/li>\n<li>Click the desktop icon in the top-right corner of the admin bar<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">It\u2019s safe to try<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">OpenStation is opt-in for each user, so the rest of your team keeps the normal admin. Click the same icon to go back to the classic view. If you deactivate the plugin, wp-admin goes back to exactly how it was.
