Sri Lanka rupee closes at 332.65/70 to US dollar spot, bond yields steady

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee closed at 332.65/70 to the US dollar spot on Tuesday, weaker from 332.55/65 the previous day, while bond yields closed steady to lower on select tenors, dealers said.

A bond maturing on 15.09.2029 closed at 11.10/25 percent, up from 11.10/20 percent.

A bond maturing on 01.08.2030 closed flat at 11.55/60 percent.

A bond maturing on 01.02.2031 closed at 11.67/73 percent, up from 11.88/92 percent.

A bond maturing on 01.06.2033 closed flat at 12.30/40 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.10.2034 closed at 12.50/55 percent, down from 12.58/63 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.08.2036 closed at 12.80/85 percent, down from 12.85/92 percent.

The rupee had depreciated 6.8 percent against the US dollar by the end of October on a year-to-date basis, the Central Bank said. (Colombo/Nov3/2026)
