Sri Lanka rupee closes at 332.55/65 to US dollar spot, bond yields steady

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee closed at 332.55/65 to the US dollar spot on Monday, weaker from 332.50/62 Friday, while bond yields closed steady to lower on select tenors, dealers said.

A bond maturing on 15.09.2029 closed at 11.10/20 percent.

A bond maturing on 01.08.2030 closed at 11.55/60 percent, down from 11.57/65 percent.

A bond maturing on 01.02.2031 closed at 11.88/92 percent, up from 11.75/85 percent.

A bond maturing on 01.06.2033 closed at 12.30/40 percent, up from 12.20/35 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.10.2034 closed at 12.58/63 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.08.2036 closed at 12.85/92 percent, from 12.80/95 percent.

The rupee had depreciated 6.8 percent against the US dollar by the end of October on a year-to-date basis, the Central Bank said. (Colombo/Nov2/2026)
