Sri Lanka stocks close flat, turnover Rs1.55bn

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Colombo Stock Exchange closed flat on Wednesday, CSE data showed, with the benchmark All Share Price Index moving down a marginal 0.02 percent.
The ASPI was down 4.89 points at 20,812.93, while the more liquid S&P SL20 was up 0.27 percent, or 16.10 points, at 5,912.50.
Positive contributors to the ASPI were Lion Brewery (Ceylon) (up 3.25 percent at 1,858.75 rupees), LOLC Finance (up 3.92 percent at 5.30 rupees), Hemas Holdings (up 1.31 percent at 31.00 rupees), and SMB Finance (up 10.00 percent at 1.10 rupees).
Dialog Axiata (down 1.31 percent at 45.20 rupees), Commercial Bank of Ceylon (down 0.37 percent at 202.50 rupees), Carson Cumberbatch (down 1.37 percent at 720.00 rupees), and Bukit Darah (down 2.17 percent at 846.00 rupees) were top negative contributors.
Market turnover was 1.55 billion rupees. Capital goods led turnover with 557.27 million rupees. (Colombo/Sep30/2026)
